"A nice cake" is a must have, at any special occasion in our household. My cake baking hobby became a passion and I made cakes not only for my close family but also for friends and colleagues. Their positive feedback and encouragement led me to pursue my love for baking even further. Having two young children, I have had to reduce my working hours as a microbiologist. Baking therefore became an ideal business for me, allowing me to indulge inmy passion and use my creative skills from home.
With this in mind, I attended a course at PME, Professional diploma (Masters Certificate in Rolled Fondant, Sugar Flowers & Piping Techniques) in 2008 and different short courses at the International Academy of Sugar Crafting in 2012-13 (taught by a multi award winning instructor). I became confident enough to enter cake competitions and have since won several awards.
Each cake is made and decorated using only the finest ingredients. I take extreme care with my hygiene, health and safety in my baking. I love a challenge and will do my utmost to accommodate the wishes of my clients. I don'tmind the "sleepless nights" or the long hours because in the end, seeing a happy customer makes it all worthwhile.
